Descript Alternatives (2026): 7 Tools Compared on Editing and AI Speech
Vorec Team · 2026-10-21 · About 4 min read
The main Descript alternatives are Camtasia, Tella, ScreenPal, Loom, OBS Studio, Clueso and Vorec, and the choice mostly depends on whether you want to edit by transcript, by timeline, or not edit at all. Descript's paid plans start at $24 a month ($16 with annual billing) and meter media hours and AI credits. This page compares the alternatives from vendor pages captured between 6 and 15 October 2026 (Vorec: plan catalog, 5 October 2026). Prices are dollars as displayed, we did not test the tools against each other, and "not checked" means we could not confirm it, not that it is absent. Vorec is our product.
