Guidde Alternatives (2026): 7 Tools Compared on Price and Capture
Vorec Team · 2026-10-20 · About 6 min read
Seven tools compete with Guidde for turning a captured workflow into a how-to guide or video: Scribe, Tango, Clueso, Trupeer, Supademo, Kommodo and Vorec. Guidde's own plans run from a Free plan (up to 25 how-to videos, web capture) to Pro at $29 per creator a month ($19 with annual billing) and Business at $59 ($39). This page compares the alternatives from each vendor's public pages, captured on 15 October 2026 (Vorec: plan catalog, 5 October 2026). Prices are dollar amounts as displayed. We did not test the tools against each other, and "not checked" means we could not confirm it, not that it is absent. Vorec is our product.

1. Scribe: written guides, plus video options
Scribe's Basic plan is free with web-app capture, link sharing, embeds and a "Share as video" option. Desktop and mobile capture, screenshot editing and PDF, HTML, Markdown and Word export are on the paid plans, which also import existing videos (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, up to 30 minutes and 500 MB). Pro Personal is $35 a month ($25 with annual billing); Pro Team is $29 ($23) per seat with a five-seat minimum. See Scribe pricing and Scribe alternatives.
2. Tango: guides with a free team plan
Tango's Free plan lists up to 10 workspace users and 5 shared workflows with browser capture. Pro adds desktop capture (macOS 14+ and Windows 10 or 11), branding, exports and AI-generated content: Personal is $30 a month ($22 annual billing) for 1 to 2 users, and Team is $20 ($15) from 3 users. See Tango pricing and Scribe vs Tango.
3. Clueso: video and guides from one recording
Clueso records with a browser extension or takes an uploaded video, then drafts an editable script, AI narration, captions and zoom, with written step guides on every plan. Solo is $50 a month with 15 video minutes and 15 articles a month ($40 a month with annual billing, which gives 3 hours and 180 articles upfront); Business is $150 ($120) for two users. Its agents page also advertises browser-agent recording and GitHub-triggered updates, which we did not test. See Clueso pricing and Clueso vs Guidde.

4. Trupeer: credit-based video and documents
Trupeer lists extension recording and video upload, AI voiceovers and documents (DOC, PDF, Markdown on Pro). Plans use shared AI credits: Free covers 10 days (1,000 credits, 5-minute recordings, watermarked), Pro is $49 a month ($40 annual billing), Scale $249 ($199). Video generation costs 100 credits a minute. See Trupeer alternatives.
5. Supademo: interactive demos with exports
Supademo is mainly an interactive demo tool, with GIF and SOP export (PDF, PNG) on every plan and MP4 export (1080p with a watermark on Free, up to 4K on paid). AI voiceovers, translation and MCP start on Scale ($50 a month, $38 with annual billing, per creator). See Supademo pricing.
6. Kommodo: recordings with AI guides
Kommodo records screen and webcam, accepts external video uploads, and offers AI transcripts, summaries, chapters and guides. Starter is $0 with unlimited recordings and 60-day access to each; Premium is $15 a month ($9 billed yearly). Its guide quota is described inconsistently on its own page, so check it before relying on it.
7. Vorec: narrated video from a capture
Vorec records with its own macOS recorder or takes an uploaded recording. An AI coding agent can drive the recorder through the CLI, saving the take locally for you to review. Vorec drafts narration matched to the captured workflow, voices it, and can generate a written guide from the same capture. Plans: 7-day trial with 100 credits and no card; Starter $9, Pro $24, Business $59 a month. See Vorec vs Guidde.
Worked example: five creators, annual billing
Arithmetic from the annual-billing prices shown on each vendor's page (15 October 2026; Vorec 5 October 2026), before tax. It compares list prices, not what each plan lets five people produce, so check the limits above.
| Tool | Plan used | Calculation | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tango | Pro Team (3+ users) | $15 x 5 x 12 | $900 |
| Guidde | Pro | $19 x 5 x 12 | $1,140 |
| Scribe | Pro Team (5-seat minimum) | $23 x 5 x 12 | $1,380 |
| Supademo | Scale | $38 x 5 x 12 | $2,280 |
| Guidde | Business (up to 5 creators) | $39 x 5 x 12 | $2,340 |
| Vorec | Business (5 seats, 1,500 standard monthly credits; plan catalog, 5 Oct 2026) | $566 a year | $566 |
| Clueso | Business, two-user configuration | $120 x 12 | $1,440 for 2 users |
Trupeer lists Pro for 1 creator ($40 a month with yearly billing, $480 a year) and Scale for 3 ($199 a month, $2,388 a year), with no five-creator self-serve configuration captured; Kommodo's calculator showed one user at $9 a month billed yearly ($108 a year). Vorec's plans are credit-based rather than per creator, so the comparison depends on how many tutorials you make.
How to choose

- Video and guides in a team plan: Clueso or Guidde.
- Interactive demos: Supademo.
- A macOS recorder with narration drafted from the workflow: Vorec.
Run one real workflow through your top two before you pay; the guide and credit limits above differ in ways the headline price hides.
