Wistia Pricing 2026: Free, Business, Signals Explained

Vorec Team · 2026-10-02 · About 9 min read

Wistia has a free plan, and its paid video platform starts at $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually, for the Business plan. Business + Signals, which adds marketing-automation features, is $412 a month or $329 billed annually. Enterprise is custom-priced. On the current plans, capacity is measured in storage, not in a count of videos.

Those headline numbers may leave out additional costs: extra seats, storage blocks and bandwidth. This guide walks through each one, using only what Wistia's pricing page and help center showed when we read them.

Verified 2 October 2026 from Wistia's public pricing page, its webinar pricing page and three help-center articles, in a signed-out browser, with no checkout. Prices display in `$`. The pages don't state the currency code or tax treatment. Wistia says plans bought after 17 March 2026 are on its new lineup, so older guides that quote media-count limits describe legacy plans.

What each plan includes

Free: $0

The Free plan covers creating, hosting and sharing videos. Wistia's card lists 25 GB of storage maximum, 1 user only, basic video analytics, and Wistia branding included. According to Wistia's storage help article, Free plans can't buy extra storage and can't go past the included 25 GB.

The comparison table marks these as included on every plan, Free included: the virtual recording studio, agentic and transcript-based editing, AI highlights and social clips, a customizable ad-free player, and private sharing with password protection.

Business: $99 a month or $79 billed annually

Business is the plan Wistia's own FAQ recommends: "Most teams start on Business." On top of Free, it adds:

Dubbing and AI audio descriptions are a paid add-on on Business. The page doesn't list a price for the add-on.

Business + Signals: $412 a month or $329 billed annually

This plan adds Wistia's Automation Suite: marketing-automation integrations (the card links HubSpot, Adobe Marketo Engage, Salesforce Pardot, ActiveCampaign, Oracle Eloqua and Klaviyo), video engagement data on contact records, automated lead scoring, audience segmentation, triggered email nurtures, sales alerts, and pipeline and revenue attribution. Storage, seats and bandwidth match Business. Dubbing stays an add-on.

Enterprise: custom

Enterprise starts at 1 TB of storage and 2 TB of bandwidth, with custom users. It adds Signals, team accounts, SSO, video playback protection and a dedicated customer success manager. Dubbing and AI audio descriptions are included. Pricing goes through sales.

Monthly vs annual billing: worked totals

These totals are our arithmetic from the displayed prices. Wistia doesn't quote yearly totals on the page, and we didn't verify any checkout.

Plan12 × monthly price12 × annual monthly priceDifference per year
Business$1,188$948$240
Business + Signals$4,944$3,948$996

So annual billing on Business saves $240 a year, about 20%, which matches the page's "Save 20%" label.

Extra seats: two different prices

Business includes 3 users. Beyond that, Wistia's own pages disagree on the price of an extra seat:

We're reporting both, because we can't tell from the public pages which one checkout applies. Confirm with Wistia before budgeting on monthly billing.

Viewer-role users are free and don't count toward your seat limit. Owner, Manager, Standard and Limited roles do count.

Worked example, a 5-person team on Business (our arithmetic): 3 included seats plus 2 extra seats.

BillingCalculationTotal
Annual($79 + 2 × $25) × 12$1,548 a year
Monthly, using the help article's $31.25$99 + 2 × $31.25$161.50 a month
Monthly, using the pricing page's $25$99 + 2 × $25$149 a month

Storage: what counts and what an overage costs

Wistia's storage help article explains the rules:

Storage blockMonthly billingAnnual billing (per month)
100 GB$15.00$12.00
250 GB$31.25$25.00
1 TB$93.75$75.00

Wistia's own example: if you've used your included storage and add another 50 GB, the added block is 100 GB. Add 125 GB and you pay for the 250 GB block.

Paid Wistia storage examples: 50 GB excess uses a 100 GB block; 125 GB excess uses a 250 GB block

Bandwidth

Business includes 1 TB of bandwidth a month, Free 200 GB and Enterprise 2 TB. Wistia's bandwidth help article lists extra Business bandwidth as monthly subscriptions added on top of what's included: 1 TB for $150, 2 TB for $280, 3 TB for $390 a month. Enterprise bandwidth is priced separately.

The same article says player loads, thumbnails, internal plays and downloads can all use bandwidth. We couldn't find a per-gigabyte overage rate on the public pages, so we're not quoting one.

Wistia Webinars is priced separately

Webinars are a separate product with their own pricing page:

Webinars$537$4295001.5 hoursUp to 9
Webinars Plus$1,037$8291,0003 hoursUp to 9

Both webinar plans include Business features, and the comparison includes the Automation Suite. Billed annually, they come to $5,148 and $9,948 a year (our arithmetic).

A few details worth knowing:

What the pricing page doesn't tell you

We couldn't establish these from the public pages:

Is Wistia worth it?

Choose Free to host and share a few videos with one user, if Wistia branding on the player is acceptable and 25 GB is enough.

Choose Business when you need your own branding, playlists, CTAs and forms, and engagement analytics for a small team. Budget for seats past three and for storage blocks once the library grows.

Choose Business + Signals only if video engagement needs to flow into a marketing-automation platform, with lead scoring and attribution. It costs about four times Business.

Talk to sales for Enterprise if you need SSO or playback protection. For large libraries, compare storage-block pricing on Business with a custom Enterprise quote.

Where Vorec fits

Wistia focuses on hosting, marketing and measuring video: branded players, lead capture through CTAs and forms, marketing-automation integrations and viewer analytics. Teams that need those should evaluate Wistia.

Vorec focuses on making narrated screen tutorials and written guides. Vorec records your screen with its own macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive it for you through the Claude Code plugin. Capture runs locally so you can review the take before anything is uploaded. Vorec then drafts narration matched to the workflow it captured and generates the voiceover, so nothing is spoken into a microphone. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide with annotatable screenshots. You can upload an existing recording instead if you already have one.
