Vimeo Pricing 2026: Free, Starter, Standard, Advanced
Vorec Team · 2026-10-04 · About 7 min read
Vimeo's paid plans start at $20 a month, or $12 a month billed annually, for Starter. Standard is $41 a month or $25 a month billed annually, and Advanced is $125 a month or $75 a month billed annually. Enterprise is sales-led. There's also an ongoing Free plan, with 1 GB of lifetime storage.
On the current plans, what you pay for is mostly storage, included users and features, not a count of videos. This guide walks through each plan using only what Vimeo's pricing page and help center showed when we read them.
Verified 4 October 2026 from Vimeo's rendered plans page in a desktop browser, with both billing views read twice after the prices settled, plus Vimeo's help center and screen recorder page. No trial or checkout was started. Prices display with a `$` symbol and "plus applicable tax". The page doesn't state the currency code, and other regions or accounts may see different offers.
Vimeo plans at a glance
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Included users | Storage | Bandwidth per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1 owner | 1 GB lifetime | Not listed on the plans page |
| Starter | $20 | $12 | 1 | 2 TB | 2 TB |
| Standard | $41 | $25 | 5 | 4 TB | 2 TB |
| Advanced | $125 | $75 | 10 | 7 TB | 2 TB |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Contact sales | Custom | Custom | Custom |
The plan cards don't label prices as per seat. The number of users is what each plan includes, so don't multiply the price by it.
What each plan includes
Free: $0
Vimeo's Free plan help article describes one owner, 1 GB of lifetime storage, and screen or webcam recordings of up to 30 minutes. It says older accounts may differ.
The pricing FAQ says the Free plan is not just a free trial. It's an ongoing plan. The screen recorder page adds that videos on Free and Basic plans include a Vimeo watermark when embedded.
Starter: $20 a month, or $12 a month billed annually
One user and 2 TB of storage. The card lists a customizable video player, password privacy and unlisted links, review and collaboration tools (marked new), video file transfer, and engagement analytics.
Standard: $41 a month, or $25 a month billed annually
Five users and 4 TB of storage. Vimeo marks it "Recommended". It adds everything in Starter plus:
- Branding in the player
- Third-party player support
- Custom watermark
- Branded video galleries
- Lead capture
- Calls to action and custom cards
Advanced: $125 a month, or $75 a month billed annually
Ten users and 7 TB of storage. It adds everything in Standard plus live and event features: hosted livestreamed events, event Q&A, polls and chat, streaming to multiple destinations, DVR streaming, scheduled simulive, live event-level analytics, and marketing automation integrations.
Enterprise: contact sales
No price is shown; the card says "Talk to our team for pricing". It lists more users, more storage and bandwidth, custom permissions, advanced AI capabilities, SSO (SAML) and SCIM, advanced analytics and marketing integrations, quality events (backup streams, eCDN) and dedicated support.
Monthly vs annual billing: worked totals
The annual figures are per-month equivalents for a plan billed once a year. Multiplying gives these totals. They're our arithmetic, not totals we saw at checkout:
| Plan | 12 months at the monthly price | Annual equivalent × 12 | Difference | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $240 | $144 | $96 | 40% |
| Standard | $492 | $300 | $192 | 39% |
| Advanced | $1,500 | $900 | $600 | 40% |
The page's toggle says "Save 40%". On Standard our arithmetic gives about 39%, because $25 is slightly more than 60% of $41. Tax is added on top of all of these.
Storage, bandwidth and file limits
From the pricing page and its FAQ:
- No cap on the number of videos. The FAQ says there's no limit on how many videos you can create, upload and host. What limits you is storage, measured in gigabytes.
- Team members share storage. The FAQ covers this under "Do team members share the storage limit?"
- 2 TB of bandwidth a month on self-serve plans. The FAQ says Vimeo set that limit so 99% of users will never reach it. If you do, you'll get notifications asking you to lower usage or talk to sales. The limit applies across jointly controlled accounts, so opening several accounts doesn't increase it.
- Per-file limits: 300 GB and 24 hours per video file, regardless of plan.
- Screen recording is unlimited on every paid plan in the comparison table.
A legacy-account caveat
Vimeo's help center says accounts created before 17 June 2024 can have video-count limits instead of the current storage allowances. The Starter help article also mentions a 250 GB legacy file ceiling. If you're on an older plan, check your own account rather than the current pricing page. Older guides that quote weekly upload quotas usually describe those legacy plans.
Free trials
The screen recorder page shows "Try free for 7 days" for Starter, Standard and Advanced. We didn't check whether a payment card is required or what's charged when the trial ends. Read the checkout terms before starting one.
That page also says the free screen recorder is available on all plans. The teleprompter is available through a free trial or a paid Standard, Advanced or Enterprise subscription.
What the pricing page doesn't tell you
A few things we couldn't verify from the rendered page:
- Extra seats. The cards show included users but no price for adding more.
- Currency and tax. The page shows `$` and "plus applicable tax" without a currency code.
- AI credits. The FAQ has entries titled "What are AI credits?" and "How do I buy AI credits?". We didn't capture their answers, so we're not quoting AI credit amounts or prices.
- Enterprise numbers. Enterprise users, storage and bandwidth are all custom.
Is Vimeo worth it for tutorials?
That depends on what you need from a host. Here's our reading of the plan cards, not Vimeo's.
- Starter fits a solo creator who wants an ad-free, customizable player and private links for tutorials. The FAQ says Vimeo never puts ads before, during or after videos, even on Free.
- Standard is the first plan with player branding, a custom watermark, lead capture and calls to action. That's what matters if your tutorials sit on a marketing site.
- Advanced is mainly about live events and webinars. If you only host recorded tutorials, most of what it adds won't apply.
If you're comparing hosts, our verified breakdowns of Wistia pricing and Vidyard pricing use the same method.
Where Vorec fits
Vimeo hosts and plays videos. Vorec makes the tutorial itself. It records your screen with its own macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive it for you through the Claude Code plugin, capturing locally for you to review before anything is uploaded. It then drafts narration matched to the workflow it captured and generates the voiceover, so nothing is spoken into a microphone.
In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide with annotatable screenshots. You export an MP4 and host it wherever you like, including on Vimeo.
Vorec focuses on narrated tutorials and written guides. Teams who need livestreamed events, lead capture on the player, or branded video galleries should evaluate Vimeo's Standard or Advanced plans for that.
Vorec's own plans, read live from our billing settings: a 7-day trial with 100 credits and no credit card, then Starter at $9 a month, Pro at $24 and Business at $59, or $86, $230 and $566 a year.
