Podia Pricing 2026: Mover, Shaker, Earthquaker Verified

Vorec Team · 2026-10-16 · About 7 min read

Podia's cheapest plan is $49 a month, but Mover also takes 5% of every sale. Shaker costs $50 a month more and takes no Podia fee. Once your sales pass a certain level, the "more expensive" plan is the cheaper one, and you can work out where that level is from Podia's published prices.

We read Podia's pricing page in a browser on 16 October 2026, in both billing states, twice each. Every Podia price, limit and fee below comes from that capture; Vorec's prices come from our live plan catalogue. Where we calculated something, we show the arithmetic and say it is ours.

Verified 16 October 2026 from the rendered Podia pricing page. Prices were displayed with a $ symbol. We did not reach checkout, so the billing currency, tax and invoiced totals are unverified.

Mover$49/month$504/year$425%
Shaker$99/month$1,008/year$84None
Earthquaker$179/month$1,800/year$150None

The annual cards state each yearly total ("$504 billed annually" and so on) next to the monthly equivalent. The page shows these three plans; we didn't see a free plan or a separately priced enterprise tier on it.

Earthquaker$2,148$1,800$34816.2%

Podia's FAQ says refunds are available within 72 hours of your most recent payment and that it doesn't do partial refunds on annual plans. Annual billing is a bigger commitment than the saving alone suggests.

Every plan also lists community, online courses, digital downloads, coaching and events (live and in-person). The list continues with a website and blog, custom domain, landing pages, "1,900+ embeds", Podia AI tools, sales tax handling for 230 countries, "20+ currencies", built-in checkout, migration help, and email and chat support.

A few details are easy to misread:

Podia Agent and AI

Each plan card lists Podia Agent, which Podia's tooltip describes as its "built-in AI assistant". The daily message allowance is 3 on Mover, 15 on Shaker and 30 on Earthquaker. On Shaker and Earthquaker, the allowance is shared with your assistants. Each tooltip adds that you can "connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key to keep going". Usage past the included messages then runs on your own key, and any cost is billed by that provider, not Podia.

The "Everyone gets" list also names "Podia AI tools" without detail. We couldn't tell from the pricing page what those tools do, so we don't describe them here.

Transaction and processing fees

Podia's FAQ: "On the Mover plan, we charge a 5% transaction fee. There are no Podia fees on the Shaker or Earthquaker plans." Payment processing is separate: Stripe or PayPal charges what Podia's FAQ calls a standard 2.9% + 30¢, "which may vary based on your location". So "no fees" on Shaker and Earthquaker means no Podia fee, not free payments.

When Shaker becomes cheaper than Mover

Our arithmetic, counting only the subscription and Podia's 5% fee (processor fees apply on every plan either way):

BillingShaker costs more per month byMover's 5% fee equals that atAbove this, Shaker is cheaper
Monthly$99 − $49 = $50$50 ÷ 5%$1,000 in sales a month
Annual$84 − $42 = $42$42 ÷ 5%$840 in sales a month

So once you regularly sell more than $1,000 a month on monthly billing, or more than $840 on annual, Shaker costs less than Mover. At exactly those amounts the two cost the same. You also get the higher limits.

Free trial

Podia's pricing page headline offers a 14-day free trial and says there's "no need to enter a credit card or pick a plan until you're ready". The closing section says the trial gives "full access to all of our features". After the trial, the FAQ says you need a Mover, Shaker or Earthquaker plan to keep using Podia Email.

Where the lesson videos come from

Podia hosts and sells the course, with a video allowance on each plan. The videos still have to be made somewhere, and for software and tool courses that usually means screen recordings with a voiceover. Recording, then narrating, then re-recording when the voiceover goes wrong is usually where the production time goes. Our guide on turning recordings into eLearning video content covers the workflow.

Vorec records your screen. It has its own macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive it for you through the Claude Code plugin, capturing locally for you to review before anything is uploaded. It then drafts narration matched to the workflow it captured and generates the voiceover, so nothing is spoken into a microphone. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide, with annotatable screenshots, and narration regenerates in supported languages on eligible plans, without re-recording. You can upload an existing recording instead if you already have one. You then export the video and upload it as a lesson in your course.

Vorec's prices, read from our live plan catalogue on 16 October 2026, are $9, $24 and $59 a month, or $86, $230 and $566 a year. There is a 7-day trial with 100 credits and no credit card required. The trial includes up to 3 projects, and exports carry a watermark. Details are on Vorec pricing.
