Otter.ai Pricing 2026: Basic, Pro, Business Verified
Vorec Team · 2026-10-17 · About 8 min read
Otter.ai's Pro plan is $16.99 per user a month, or $8.33 billed annually. The price is easy to compare. The limits are where plans really differ: how many minutes you can transcribe, how long one meeting can run, how many files you can import, and how many people fit in a workspace. Those limits decide which plan you need.
We read Otter's pricing page in a browser on 17 October 2026, in both billing states, twice each. Every Otter price and limit below comes from that capture; Vorec's prices come from our live plan catalogue. Where we calculated something, we show the arithmetic and say it's ours.
Verified 17 October 2026 from the rendered Otter.ai pricing page. The page states "Prices in USD" and prices paid plans per user per month. We did not reach checkout, so tax and invoiced totals are unverified.
Otter.ai pricing at a glance
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually (per user/month) | Who Otter says it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | Free | "For those who want to give it a try" |
| Pro | $16.99 | $8.33 | Individuals and small teams |
| Business | $30, or $24 for the first 3 months | $19.99 | Medium-sized teams |
| Enterprise | Schedule a demo | Schedule a demo | Large teams and companies |
The Business monthly card shows $30 crossed out and $24 with "20% off for 3 months". A footnote says the offer is "valid for first-time subscribers only". Enterprise has no public price.
What annual billing saves
Otter labels annual billing "save 51%" on Pro and "save 33%" on Business. Our arithmetic from the displayed per-month prices, per user:
| Plan | 12 × monthly price | 12 × annual rate | Saving | Saving as % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $203.88 | $99.96 | $103.92 | 51.0% |
| Business (regular $30) | $360.00 | $239.88 | $120.12 | 33.4% |
The annual column multiplies the rounded monthly display by 12, so the actual invoice can differ by a few cents. On monthly billing, a new Business subscriber's first year would cost 3 × $24 + 9 × $30 = $342 per user at the displayed prices, assuming the offer applies.
The limits that decide the plan
| Limit | Basic | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meeting and recording transcription per month | 300 min per user* | 1,200 min per user* | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Imported-file transcription per month | 300 min per user* | 1,200 min per user* | 6,000 min per user | 6,000 min per user |
| Longest single conversation | 30 min | 90 min | 4 hours | 4 hours |
| Audio/video file imports | 3 lifetime per user | 10 a month per user | Unlimited* | Unlimited* |
| Conversation history | 25 most recent | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Concurrent meetings | 1 | 2 | 3 | 3 |
| Max workspace members | 5 | 5 billed users | 25 billed users | Unlimited |
\*On Basic and Pro, the footnote says the minutes are a "shared pool across all transcription types": Basic has 300 minutes a month in total, not 300 for meetings plus 300 for imports. The comparison table marks both monthly limits "no rollover". On Business, "unlimited" imports refers to the number of files; imported-file transcription is still capped at 6,000 minutes per user per month.
Three things are easy to miss:
- Basic's 30-minute cap. Basic's limit is 30 minutes per conversation. Pro raises it to 90 minutes, and Business to 4 hours.
- Basic's 3 lifetime imports. If you want to upload existing recordings rather than have Otter join live meetings, Basic allows three in total, ever.
- Workspace size. Pro tops out at 5 billed users and Business at 25. A team larger than 25 needs Enterprise.
AI features by plan
All plans, including Basic, list AI Chat within and across meetings, AI meeting workflows, live transcription, speaker identification and the Otter MCP server. The comparison table lists automated summaries with action items and outlines, and AI transcription in English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese.
| AI limit | Basic | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Otter AI Chat queries per month | 20 per user (3 per conversation) | 50 per user | 200 per user | 200 per user |
| AI meeting templates | Standard | Advanced | Advanced | Advanced |
| Custom AI meeting template usage | 5 meetings per user | 15 meetings per user | 30 meetings per user | Unlimited |
| AI workflows | AI meeting workflows | Advanced AI workflows | Custom AI workflows | Unlimited custom AI workflows |
The table doesn't say whether the custom-template usage limits reset monthly. Enterprise also lists Otter Sales Notetaker and "AI Chat with Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Jira". That last item is marked "New" on the annual card and "Coming Soon" on the monthly card, so check its status with Otter.
Exports, integrations and admin
| Feature | Basic | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Export formats | mp3, txt | mp3, txt, pdf, docx, srt | Same as Pro, plus bulk export | Same as Business |
| Salesforce or HubSpot synced notes | No user count shown | 1 user | 5 users | Unlimited |
The Pro card adds Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier integrations, with a note that Salesforce and HubSpot are "subject to user limits". The Enterprise card lists SSO, SCIM and domain capture, Otter API and webhooks, custom CRM and dialer integrations, and HIPAA compliance as an add-on with no price shown. In the comparison table, the SSO and SCIM rows carry the note "minimum 100-user license required".
Every plan joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. The Business card adds activity logs, usage analytics and prioritised support. The 100-user minimum is attached specifically to the SSO and SCIM rows; the page doesn't state a general minimum for Enterprise.
Free plan, trials and discounts
Basic is labelled "Free forever", so it's a permanent free plan rather than a trial. We didn't find a free trial of the paid plans, or its terms, on the pricing page; check with Otter if you want one.
Otter's FAQ offers a 20% student and teacher discount on Pro for individuals with a .edu email address. It lists $6.67 a month billed $79.99 annually, or $13.59 a month on monthly billing. It also says Otter accepts credit and debit cards on its website, plus in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and doesn't yet accept PayPal.
Which plan fits
| You are | Likely plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Trying Otter on a few short calls | Basic | Free, but 30-minute conversations and 300 minutes a month |
| One person with regular hour-long meetings | Pro, annual | 90-minute meetings, 1,200 minutes a month, about $100 a year |
| A team of up to 25 that meets constantly | Business | Unlimited meeting minutes, 4-hour meetings, admin logs |
| More than 25 users, or needing SSO, API or HIPAA | Enterprise | The Enterprise card lists these; confirm requirements and get a quote |
Our arithmetic for a five-person team on annual billing: Pro costs 5 × $99.96 = $499.80 a year, and Business costs 5 × $239.88 = $1,199.40 a year.
Meeting notes and training material
Otter records and transcribes meetings. A recording of a call, or its transcript, is a useful record of what was said. Turning it into training material may need editing, though: an unplanned live demo can wander, skip steps or run long. Our post on AI meeting notes vs tutorial videos covers where each fits.
When you need a repeatable how-to, such as onboarding, a software walkthrough or a help-centre article, a dedicated recording of the process is another option. Vorec records your screen. It has its own macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive it for you through the Claude Code plugin, capturing locally for you to review before anything is uploaded. It then drafts narration matched to the workflow it captured and generates the voiceover, so nothing is spoken into a microphone. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide, with annotatable screenshots, and narration regenerates in supported languages on eligible plans, without re-recording. You can upload an existing recording instead if you already have one.
Vorec's prices, read from our live plan catalogue on 17 October 2026, are $9, $24 and $59 a month, or $86, $230 and $566 a year. There is a 7-day trial with 100 credits and no credit card required. The trial includes up to 3 projects, and exports carry a watermark. Details are on Vorec pricing. For other recording tools, see our verified pricing for Loom, Descript and Riverside.
