HeyGen Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What's Gated

Vorec Team · 2026-09-30 · About 7 min read

HeyGen's price is not one number. Its Pro plan runs from $49 a month to $4,300 a month depending on a credit selector, and the card you first see is only the cheapest setting. (Business seats and Enterprise terms can differ again, so $4,300 is the top of the Pro selector, not a ceiling for HeyGen overall.)

Everything below comes from HeyGen's pricing page, read in a rendered browser with the monthly and annual toggles and every Pro credit tier selected, on 30 September 2026. One caveat up front: the page we captured showed English (India) locale, Indian digit grouping and `/en-in` links, with prices in `$`. Treat these as the figures that page displayed to us, not as a US checkout quote. Taxes and regional eligibility were not checked. Prices change; check before you buy.

HeyGen monthly plan overview: Creator $29, Pro from $49, Business $149 base, with the seat and locale caveats

Credits are what you are buying. Paid plans give you a monthly credit allowance that generation consumes. Within Pro, more credits means a higher selector step, not a different feature set; across the named plans, features do change (Creator, Pro and Business differ in resolution, duration and team tools, below).

Every Pro Credit Tier

Pro is the plan with the selector. We read each tier under both billing states. Annual prices below are the actual annual bill as displayed, not the card's rounded per-month figure multiplied by twelve.

Credits/monthMonthlyAnnual billAnnual saving vs 12 × monthly
1,000$49$488$100
1,500$74$738$150
2,000$99$988$200
3,000$149$1,488$300
5,000$240$2,400$480
7,500$360$3,600$720
10,000$460$4,612$908
20,000$900$9,018$1,782
50,000$2,250$22,518$4,482
100,000$4,300$43,030$8,570

The saving column is our arithmetic (twelve monthly payments minus the displayed annual bill), not a figure HeyGen prints. On this page, all Pro tiers share the same features; only the allowance changes.

Two derived observations, labelled as such. Per 1,000 credits, the monthly price falls from $49 at the bottom tier to $43 at the top. And on Pro the annual bill is roughly 16 to 17% below twelve monthly payments at every tier (Business is about 20%: $1,428 against $1,788).

Annual does not mean a bigger allowance. Credits are still allocated monthly on an annual subscription. Monthly unused credits roll over for one additional month; on annual plans they accumulate until the annual renewal. If you cancel, remaining credits expire at the end of the paid cycle.

What Each Plan Limits

Free gives three videos a month, at most one minute each, with the watermark still on. Free does not require a credit card, per HeyGen's FAQ, and includes limited trial access to premium features such as Avatar IV, Video Agent and lip-sync translation. The page states no numeric free credit allowance and no fixed trial length for those features. The comparison table shows a cross in the export-resolution row for Free, so we are not going to guess a resolution.

Creator ($29) removes the watermark and allows videos up to 30 minutes at 1080p, with unlimited Photo Avatars, voice cloning, and support for 175 languages and dialects.

Pro keeps the 30-minute maximum and lifts export to 4K, adds faster processing, translation script editing and proofreading, and advanced-model access.

Business raises the overall maximum video and translation duration to 60 minutes, adds five custom video avatars, twice Pro's concurrency, collaboration, central billing, SAML/SSO, interactive quizzes and links, and SCORM and LMS integrations.

The 60-minute figure has an exception. In Business and Enterprise, the comparison table lists a 30-minute maximum per video for Avatar IV. That is a separate limit from the overall maximum. Enterprise's "no maximum duration" wording does not change it.

How Credits Work, And What Is Not Published

Credits are a shared currency across generation types. How many a video uses depends on the model, its length and its complexity. The pricing page does not publish a credits-to-minutes conversion, so we cannot tell you how many finished minutes 600 or 1,000 credits buys. Test on the free allowance before you size a plan.

Creator and Pro get more credits by upgrading; Business can buy one-time packs or set auto-reload, with no pack price on the page.

"Unlimited" on this page applies to Photo Avatars and, on Enterprise, voice cloning. It does not describe unlimited video generation. The page states no separate export-count cap either, but we won't read that silence as "unlimited exports."

Unresolved Wording

Three things the page leaves unclear, so we state them as unknowns:

Is HeyGen Worth It?

Yes, if what you're producing is avatar-led video: a presenter, dubbed or translated in 175 languages, without filming anyone. Creator at $288 a year is the entry point for watermark-free 1080p, and Pro adds 4K.

Size your plan by credits, not by plan name. Pro is one price ladder with ten steps, and the page does not show which step your workload needs.

Reconsider if you need firm per-minute costs. The credit conversion is not on the pricing page, so run a real project first.

Where Vorec Fits

Be clear about the difference: HeyGen is an avatar-video tool. Vorec is not. If you need an AI presenter or a lip-synced avatar, that is HeyGen's job and Vorec doesn't do it.

Where the two meet is the software tutorial. If the thing you're making is a walkthrough of an app, the picture is your screen, not a presenter. Vorec records your screen through its macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive that capture through the CLI, recording locally so you review the take before anything is uploaded. It then uses the captured action data, or analyses a recording you upload, to draft narration matched to the workflow and generate the voiceover, so no microphone narration is required. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide, and narration regenerates in supported languages on eligible plans without re-recording.

Vorec workflow: record locally, review the take, upload the approved take, AI narration, narrated video and written guide

Plans start at $9/month, with a 7-day free trial of 100 credits, no credit card required, whose exports carry a watermark.

Bottom Line

Where you land depends on credits, not just the plan name: Pro alone spans $49 to $4,300 a month, Creator is $29 ($288 annually), Pro starts at $49 ($488 annually) and climbs through ten tiers, and Business is $149 plus $20 seats.

Three details to check before you buy: the 60-minute Business limit doesn't apply to Avatar IV (30 minutes), the credits-to-minutes rate isn't published, and the Business base seat count is unclear on the page.
