ElevenLabs Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What They Buy
Vorec Team · 2026-10-01 · About 6 min read
ElevenLabs' ElevenCreative subscriptions provide one monthly pool of credits, and the plan you pick is mostly a choice of pool size: 30,000 credits for $6 a month, up to 6,000,000 for $990. The headline "minutes" are approximations, and a temporary offer that ends on 12 October changes what v4 usage costs right now.
Everything below comes from ElevenLabs' pricing page with the monthly and annual billing views, plus its API pricing page and help documentation, read in a rendered browser on 1 October 2026. Pages were in English with prices in dollars; taxes and checkout totals were not tested. Prices change; check before you buy.
The Short Version
| Plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | Annual total (calculated) | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | 10,000 |
| Starter | $6 | $5 | $60 | 30,000 |
| Creator | $22 | $18.33 | $220 | 121,000 |
| Pro | $99 | $82.50 | $990 | 600,000 |
| Scale | $299 | $249.17 | $2,990 | 1,800,000 |
| Business | $990 | $825 | $9,900 | 6,000,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Not stated | Custom |
The annual totals are our arithmetic, following ElevenLabs' stated ten-month annual charge. Against twelve standard monthly payments (introductory offers excluded) that is two months free: Starter saves $12 a year, Creator $44, Pro $198, Scale $598, Business $1,980.
Creator shows $11 for the first month. That is a separate introductory offer, not the renewal price. Budget for $22.
What The Credits Buy
On the paid tiers the credit price is close to flat: roughly 5,000 to 6,100 credits per dollar (Starter 5,000, Creator 5,500, Pro about 6,060, Scale about 6,020, Business about 6,060). That ratio is our division of the displayed figures, not a published rate. Moving up buys a bigger pool and more features, not a much cheaper credit.
The pricing page translates credits into approximate text-to-speech minutes. Treat these as the page's estimates for its web interface, not guaranteed audio, and not an API price:
| Plan | Approx. minutes | Approx. extra minute | Concurrent requests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | ~10 | ~$0.36 | 2 |
| Starter | ~30 | ~$0.20 | 3 |
| Creator | ~121 | ~$0.18 | 5 |
| Pro | ~600 | ~$0.17 | 10 |
| Scale | ~1,800 | ~$0.17 | 15 |
| Business | ~6,000 | ~$0.17 | 25 |
| Enterprise | Not stated | Not stated | "Elevated", no number |
Voice Cloning By Plan
Instant voice cloning starts on Starter. Professional voice clones are one on Creator, one on Pro, three on Scale and ten on Business. Free has neither. Enterprise terms for cloning are not specified on the page.
The Temporary v4 Offer
Until 12 October, the page advertises tripled credits for the v4 model. The detail is narrower: on Creator and above, up to twice your monthly text-to-speech allowance spent on v4 is exempt from your balance, and it applies to the web and mobile apps only. The standard quotas above exclude it. Do not size a plan on the promotion; it ends in days.
Commercial Use And Attribution
ElevenLabs' licensing help page says Free output is noncommercial and needs attribution when shared (the page asks for elevenlabs.io or 11.ai in the title, and has separate wording for Eleven Music). Paid plans include commercial rights, subject to the terms and to you holding the necessary rights in your content. Content made during a paid subscription keeps its commercial status afterwards under those terms, but paying later does not retroactively license something generated on Free. Features in beta are excluded from commercial and production use. Whether a paid plan requires attribution depends on the agreement, so do not assume none is needed.
Credits, The API And Pay-As-You-Go
Subscription credits form one monthly pool shared across ElevenLabs' Creative products, so using one product reduces what is left for another. Annual subscriptions still receive their credits monthly, and unused subscription credits carry forward up to two months' worth while the qualifying subscription remains active and is not cancelled or downgraded.
The API is priced separately on its own page, per 1,000 characters: $0.08 for the v3 and v2 Multilingual models and $0.04 for v3 Conversational and Flash/Turbo, with promotional v4 at $0.022 (against $0.08) and v4 Turbo at $0.011 (against $0.04), also running to 12 October. The text-to-speech API meters characters, not minutes, so you cannot turn "~600 minutes" into an API cost without assuming a model and a text length.
New self-serve accounts can also top up a prepaid balance (minimum $5, expiring after 12 months). Included credits are used first, then the balance; at zero, usage pauses unless automatic top-up is on. Buying balance does not unlock higher-plan features, and legacy or Enterprise overage billing works differently.
What The Pages Do Not Establish
- Enterprise quotas, prices and concurrency.
- Tax-inclusive checkout totals, and whether another currency applies to you (the documentation says India checks out in rupees).
- Actual audio output for a given credit balance: speed, achievable duration and voice quality are not promised by the pricing page.
- How your account's subscription credits map to API usage. ElevenLabs' pay-as-you-go documentation says API rates are lower than interface rates, but the pages give no single universal conversion, and legacy or Enterprise account arrangements differ.
Is ElevenLabs Worth It?
Yes, if you need a high volume of synthetic voice with voice cloning and an API. Starter at $60 a year is a low entry price for instant cloning.
Pick by credits, not by name. The per-credit price barely moves across paid plans, so choose the smallest pool that covers your month and has the cloning and concurrency you need.
Reconsider if you only need narration for a few tutorials: you would be buying a voice platform to fill a small recurring job.
How It Compares
| Entry paid price (billing basis shown) | What you get | |
|---|---|---|
| ElevenLabs | $60/yr (Starter, annual) | Credits for text-to-speech, cloning, API |
| HeyGen | See our HeyGen pricing breakdown | Avatar video, credits-based |
| Descript | See our Descript pricing breakdown | A different product category |
| Vorec | $86/yr ($7.17/mo equivalent) | Screen recording narrated from what happens on screen |
These products have different units, so the table is orientation rather than like-for-like.
Where Vorec Fits
ElevenLabs is a voice platform; Vorec focuses on narrated screen tutorials and written guides. For standalone voice production, text-to-speech, voice cloning or an audio API, evaluate ElevenLabs.
Where they meet is the software tutorial. If the thing you are making is a walkthrough of an app, the script and the timing come from what happens on screen. Vorec records your screen through its macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive that capture through the CLI, recording locally so you review the take before anything is uploaded. It then uses captured action data, or analyses a recording you upload, to draft narration matched to the workflow and generate the voiceover, so no microphone narration is required. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide, and narration regenerates in supported languages on eligible plans without re-recording.
Plans start at $9/month, with a 7-day free trial of 100 credits, no credit card required, whose exports carry a watermark.
Bottom Line
ElevenLabs is $6 to $990 a month for 30,000 to 6,000,000 credits, with $0.17 to $0.20 an approximate extra minute on paid plans, a $0.04 to $0.08 per 1,000 characters API, and a promotion ending 12 October.
Three details to check before you buy: the minutes are approximate and apply to the web interface, Free output is noncommercial, and Creator's $11 is a first-month price.
