D-ID Pricing 2026: Studio and API Plans, Verified
Vorec Team · 2026-10-19 · About 8 min read
D-ID's Studio pricing page shows three priced plans, plus a free Trial and an Enterprise option, but the headline prices only cover the smallest credit option of each. Choose a bigger credit amount and the price changes; switch to annual billing and Pro drops by 45%. D-ID also has a separate API pricing table, with different plan names.
We read both D-ID pricing pages in a browser on 19 October 2026, every billing option and credit amount, and took each reading twice. Every figure below comes from that capture. Where we calculated something, such as a cost per minute, we show the arithmetic so you can check it.
Verified 19 October 2026 from the rendered D-ID Studio pricing page and D-ID API pricing page. Prices are shown with a $ sign; the plan cards don't name the currency. We didn't check whether tax is added at checkout.
D-ID pricing at a glance
Studio is D-ID's web app for making avatar videos. Prices below are the lowest credit option on each plan.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Billed annually | Minutes per month | Licence and watermark |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trial | $0 | — | — | 3 minutes in total, 14-day trial | Personal use, full-screen watermark |
| Lite | $5.9 | $4.7 | $56 | 10 | Personal use, D-ID watermark |
| Pro | $29 | $16 | $191 | 15 | Commercial use, AI watermark |
| Advanced | $196 | $108 | $1,293 | 100 | Custom logo |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | — | — | Unlimited video minutes, plus custom minutes for Campaigns, Agents and the API | — |
The minutes are shared across Videos, Agents, Video Translate and the API. D-ID's FAQ says minutes used through the API come out of the same balance as the web app.
How the credit options change the price
Each paid Studio plan has three credit amounts to choose from. Credits convert to minutes at the same rate on every option we captured: 4 credits per minute (for example, 40 credits = 10 minutes).
| Plan and credits | Minutes per month | Monthly | Billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite, 40 credits | 10 | $5.9 | $56 |
| Lite, 52 credits | 13 | $7.7 | $74 |
| Lite, 64 credits | 16 | $9.4 | $90 |
| Pro, 60 credits | 15 | $29 | $191 |
| Pro, 100 credits | 25 | $49 | $323 |
| Pro, 240 credits | 60 | $118 | $776 |
| Advanced, 400 credits | 100 | $196 | $1,293 |
| Advanced, 600 credits | 150 | $294 | $1,940 |
| Advanced, 700 credits | 175 | $343 | $2,263 |
What the annual discount works out to
D-ID labels the annual discount on each card: 20% on Lite and 45% on Pro and Advanced. Checking against the base options:
| Plan | 12 × monthly price | Billed annually | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite (40 credits) | 12 × $5.9 = $70.80 | $56 | $14.80, about 21% |
| Pro (60 credits) | 12 × $29 = $348 | $191 | $157, about 45% |
| Advanced (400 credits) | 12 × $196 = $2,352 | $1,293 | $1,059, about 45% |
The Lite figure comes out a little above D-ID's stated 20%. The displayed figures don't reconcile exactly, and the page doesn't say why.
Cost per minute of video
Our arithmetic: plan price divided by minutes included. For annual plans, we divide the yearly bill by 12 months of minutes.
| Plan (base option) | Monthly billing | Annual billing |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | $5.9 ÷ 10 = about $0.59 per minute | $56 ÷ 120 = about $0.47 per minute |
| Pro | $29 ÷ 15 = about $1.93 per minute | $191 ÷ 180 = about $1.06 per minute |
| Advanced | $196 ÷ 100 = $1.96 per minute | $1,293 ÷ 1,200 = about $1.08 per minute |
Lite is the cheapest per minute, but it carries a D-ID watermark and a personal-use licence. If you need commercial use, Pro is the first Studio plan that includes it, and the annual price nearly halves its cost per minute.
Three rules affect how far your minutes go:
- Rounding. D-ID's FAQ says each video's length is rounded up to the nearest 15 seconds. Its example: a video of 1 minute 10 seconds uses 1 minute 15 seconds.
- Video length. The Studio comparison table lists a maximum video duration of up to 30 minutes on every plan. That is the limit per video, not your monthly allowance.
- No rollover. D-ID's FAQ says minutes don't accumulate. They renew each month, and unused minutes are lost. On annual billing, that means the yearly cost-per-minute figures above assume you use every month's minutes.
The first-month offer and fair use
The Lite, Pro and Advanced cards each advertise unlimited videos for your first month. A footnote says reasonable use limits apply and links to D-ID's fair-use policy. Read that policy before you plan a large first-month batch. After the first month, the minute allowance in the table applies. The Enterprise card also advertises unlimited video minutes. The pricing page links the same fair-use policy, so check it before you rely on that figure too.
D-ID API pricing
D-ID publishes a separate pricing table for its API plans. Each card lists an "up to" figure for standard video and another for streaming video. Read them as alternative ways the same allowance can be used; don't add them together. The Studio plans also include API access, and the Studio FAQ says API minutes come from the same balance as the web app.
| Plan and credits | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Billed annually | Video minutes | Streaming minutes | Licence and watermark |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trial | $0 | — | — | Up to 3 | Up to 10 | Personal licence, full-screen watermark |
| Build, 64 credits | $18 | $14.4 | $172.8 | Up to 16 | Up to 32 | Personal licence, D-ID watermark |
| Launch, 180 credits | $50 | $35 | $420 | Up to 45 | Up to 90 | Commercial licence, AI watermark |
| Launch, 360 credits | $99 | $69.3 | $831.6 | Up to 90 | Up to 180 | Commercial licence, AI watermark |
| Launch, 540 credits | $149 | $104.3 | $1,251.6 | Up to 135 | Up to 270 | Commercial licence, AI watermark |
| Scale, 800 credits | $198 | $138.6 | $1,663.2 | Up to 200 | Up to 400 | Commercial licence, custom logo |
| Scale, 1,000 credits | $248 | $173.6 | $2,083.2 | Up to 250 | Up to 500 | Commercial licence, custom logo |
| Scale, 1,200 credits | $297 | $208 | $2,494.8 | Up to 300 | Up to 600 | Commercial licence, custom logo |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | — | — | Custom | Custom | — |
The API Trial is also listed as a 14-day trial. Paid API plans list support for using your own S3 storage. D-ID labels the API annual discount as 20% on Build and 30% on Launch and Scale.
Cost per standard video minute on the base options, by our arithmetic: Build $18 ÷ 16 = about $1.13 monthly; Launch $50 ÷ 45 = about $1.11; Scale $198 ÷ 200 = $0.99. On annual billing: Build $172.8 ÷ 192 = $0.90; Launch $420 ÷ 540 = about $0.78; Scale $1,663.2 ÷ 2,400 = about $0.69.
What we couldn't confirm
The pricing pages we captured didn't state these, so treat them as unknown rather than unlimited:
- A seat minimum or per-seat price
- A numeric storage cap
- Export resolution per plan
- The currency code (the cards show a $ sign only)
Which D-ID plan fits
| If you need… | Start with |
|---|---|
| To try it on a personal project | Trial, then Lite |
| Commercial use from the web app | Pro, ideally on annual billing |
| A plan that lists a custom logo | Advanced (Studio) or Scale (API) |
| To generate videos from your own code | API Build to test, Launch for commercial use |
| More minutes than the top options | Enterprise, through sales |
D-ID compared with other AI video tools
D-ID's plans are built around minutes of generated avatar video. If you are comparing it with other avatar tools, see our verified breakdowns of HeyGen pricing and Synthesia pricing. For prices across more categories, our video tool pricing study puts them side by side.
An avatar presenter is one kind of video. If what you are making is a software walkthrough, where the screen is the subject rather than a presenter, you are shopping in a different category. We cover that in Synthesia alternatives for screen tutorials.
Where Vorec fits
Vorec makes narrated screen tutorials rather than avatar videos.
Vorec records your screen. It has its own macOS recorder, and an AI agent can drive it for you through the Claude Code plugin, capturing locally for you to review before anything is uploaded. It then drafts narration matched to the workflow it captured and generates the voiceover, so nothing is spoken into a microphone. In the editor you can add smooth cursor motion, cursor-follow zoom and click-based auto-zoom, and freeze-sync can hold a frame to give an explanation time to finish. The same capture can also produce a written step-by-step guide, with annotatable screenshots, and narration regenerates in supported languages on eligible plans without re-recording. You can upload an existing recording instead if you already have one.
Vorec's Trial is $0 with 100 credits and is a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. Trial includes up to 3 projects; exports carry a watermark. Paid plans are Starter at $9 a month or $86 a year, Pro at $24 or $230, and Business at $59 or $566. Each paid plan has a launch allowance for its first three months (500, 1,500 or 5,000 credits a month), then a standard allowance (150, 500 or 1,500). Prices checked 19 October 2026.
